Idrobenne’s PFS 80/C is recognized by operators as the best non-vibrating device for the packing of ballast under sleepers. The grapple consists of a very sturdy frame, on which is mounted a massive hydraulic cylinder. The power of the cylinder is then multiplied by the long leverages, so to allow a huge closing force at the end of the arms. The advantage of such equipment with regards to vibrating units, lower price apart, is that the absence of vibrations ensures greater longevity both for the gripper and for the excavator. The vibrations, in fact, result in greater wear of the arm of the road-rail excavator.

The hydraulic rotator for railways tools
Railway renewal and construction require the simultaneous use of different tools with the same operating machine: every rail-road excavator must have a grab for sleepers, a loading bucket, a grab for rails, a ballast tamper and a bucket to dig between railway sleepers (BMV-2/200-S). For this reason, the rail-road machines are supplied with a system that allows the quick exchange of the different attachments. In Italy this goal is achieved through the use of an hydraulic rotator with pin, which remains suspended to the arm, which can quickly engage each grapple. Idrobenne has developed its own, very robust and reliable hydraulic rotator for railway applications, which serves the purpose perfectly.

High quality components.
All products are built using high-tensile Swedish steel for the structural parts and use wear plates (Hardox) for parts in contact with the handled materials, such as the blades of the buckets, the tines and the tips. The large diameter pins are made of special steel, hardened under heat treatment. The bushes are provided of an internal spiral for the distribution of grease. The entire production cycle is certified according to ISO 9001 standards.
