IDROBENNE is the first ISO 14001 Italian registered Company in its field of activity. ISO 14001 series are a set of environmental management system standards developed by ISO. Implementing ISO 14001 standard leads an organization to save energy, reduce pollution, optimise costs, improve image and enhance competitiveness.
The ISO 14001 help companies to minimize how their operations negatively affect the environment (cause adverse changes to air, water, or land), comply with applicable laws, regulations, and other environmentally oriented requirements, and continually improve on the above.
Solar power
The most important element confirming IDROBENNE’s commitment on environmental policy has been the installation of a 50 Kw solar PowerStation on the top of its headquarters in Isorella. So, nearly a half of the energy used for the production comes from the cleanest and most renewable of the power sources. This allows IDROBENNE to say that its products are really environmental-oriented!
Constant commitment IDROBENNE’s attention and commitment for the natural environment is part of the Company mission. In fact, orange peel grapples and sorting grabs are used in the recycling sites, where the attention for the re-use of parts and materials is essential. The most of IDROBENNE’s customers do appreciate this high lever of the Company environmental consciousness.
World Certification Services Ltd. ISO 14001 registration The ISO 14001 standard is the
most widely used standard for environmental risk management and is closely aligned to the European Eco Management & Audit Scheme (EMAS).
ISO 14001 pertains to the process rather than to the product itself. The overall idea is to establish an organized approach to systematically reduce the impact of the environmental aspects, which an organization can control. It is an effective tool for the analysis of environmental aspects of an organization and for the generation of options for improvement.
As with ISO 9000, certification is performed by third-party organizations, which in IDROBENNE’s case is the British World Certification Services Ltd. The audit standard applies for design, construction, commercialisation, servicing of
hydraulic grabs and equipment for excavators and truck cranes.
Cleaner production Cleaner production is a preventive, company-specific initiative. It is intended to minimize and maximize product output by analysing the flow of materials. In a company, one tries to identify options to minimize waste and emissions out of processes. Improvements of
organisation and technology help to make the best possible use of materials and energy and avoid waste, generation, and gaseous emissions, and also noise.
Examples for cleaner production options are:
Documentation of consumption (as a basic analysis of material and energy flows)
Use of indicators and controlling (to identify losses from poor planning, poor education and training, mistakes)
Substitution of raw materials and auxiliary materials (especially renewable materials and energy)
Increase of useful life of auxiliary materials and process liquids (by avoiding drag in, drag out, contamination)
